Each has a different goal and offers unique opportunities such as service hours, shadowing or internships, career information, guest speakers, leadership positions and much more.

The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) encourages women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and equal treatment. Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM)

SIAM is the premier professional society for industrial, computational, and applied mathematics. Students receive free membership in SIAM. Chapter activities include seminars, conversations with scientists, visits to industrial sites, and others geared to share the interest and enthusiasm in applied mathematics and computational science. There are also activities to explore career opportunities.

Temple University Physics Club

The society helps to build a strong physics community at Temple through meetings, . Official meetings: Meetings will include professors speaking about their research and expressing what they would look for in an undergraduate student interested in participating in their research. Occasionally, outside professionals will be invited to speak to the club. These meetings will be focused on introducing undergraduate students to the opportunities for physics majors in the working world. Outreach Program: Outreach opportunities will be created for students to share their love and knowledge of physics with urban city school students in the community though physics demonstrations.

Description
The Student National Medical Association at Temple University is committed to ensuring that students of color are encouraged to consider and prepare for medical and scientific careers. Members are informed of summer and post-baccalaureate programs for premedical students, test taking strategies to enhance study skills and advice regarding the professional school application process. We participate in many events to help our members become more integrated and involved with the community and other schools and organizations. Through our partnership with the Health Science Campus, the medical students play an integral role in our academic support system in that they provide information on how undergraduates may establish themselves as competitive candidates for professional school early in their undergraduate career.
